Our company Pixilife was created in response to the expressed desires of many parents and schools for photographic services and prices that take into account the needs of all parties involved. The large corporate entities that now dominate the school picture market, like many businesses that become too large, frequently loose touch with the main reason they are there—to satisfy their customers in a personalized and efficient manner.

Founder Graham McBride of Pixilife has brought together a talented, experienced, and dedicated group of people from all areas of the photographic trade to fill the need for more responsive support, better service, and, of course, a good price.

We have associates in many states and most of our professional photographic staff have many years of experience and have won state and national awards. Graham himself has over 12 years experience in school photography. So we can proudly say, that from the top down, we offer quality and proven success.

Our goal is simple: To sit down with you, or your representatives, and set up a unique program for your schools. We can offer a school picture package that will not only save the parent’s money (in some cases approximately 30%), but one that will also allow the school to make a good profit margin for fundraising. Clothing and Accessories

Learn all about dressing for Picture Day—what works and what to avoid. Wondering how to dress for Portrait Day? Pixilife has years of experience to guide you toward your best look. Here are some tips:

• Choose solid colors or simple patterns that complement the portrait’s background
• Medium to dark shades create a timeless look
• Soft shades enhance lighter backgrounds
• Avoid shirts with slogans as photo cropping can cut words in half
• Long-sleeved shirts are best since short sleeves can be distracting and sleeveless tops can look too casual
• Select small accessories that do not detract, such as simple earrings, pins and necklaces

Grooming Tips

Put your best face forward with these quick and easy grooming tips. Plan for a portrait to remember by:

• Scheduling a haircut two weeks before Portrait Day
• Sending hair and makeup supplies to school with your child for quick touch-ups (for older teens)
• Limiting exposure to the sun a few days before Portrait Day
• Making sure nails are trimmed and clean as hands may show in portrait (spring only)
